How To Join
Ready to join CAP as an active adult or youth member? Here’s how to get started.
Step 1. Come to a meeting or Contact our Squadron
The best way to learn more about what you can do in CAP is to attend a meeting. You’ll have a chance to see how meetings are run and what types of activities are available. Squadron 712 meets every Monday night between 1900-2100 (7pm-9pm). Click HERE to see our meeting schedule. You may also contact us to speak with a Squadron leader who can answer your questions and provide you with more information. Please keep in mind that all of our members are volunteers and try to respond to membership inquiries as soon as possible, so please give them a few days to respond.
Step 2. Attend three meetings
By attending meetings you will become an active participant in the squadron which will help you learn more about what we do and how you can grow within Civil Air Patrol. Our squadron and cadet officers are always available to answer all of your questions and provide you with the best direction possible to help you make a decision.
Step 3. Membership Application Process
Complete the Membership Application.
Cadets have the option to complete the application online, which can be found HERE or download a copy of the application found HERE. Alternatively a Squadron 712 officer can provide you with the membership application.
Adult members can download the application found HERE. Adult members will also need to complete a FD 258 Fingerprint Card, which will be provided by a Squadron 712 officer, and complete their PA Clearances. Submit all of the required documents along with the membership dues to our administrative officer.
When your application is received by Member Services at National Headquarters, it is date stamped and processed in order by the date it arrived. The new member will receive an automated welcome email once the membership is processed.
