Directions to Squadron 712

All directions below are intended to keep you on major highways when possible. If you prefer to take back roads or want to stay off a particular major highway, we encourage you to type the address of 475 Airport Rd, Butler, PA 16002 into a GPS or navigation-enabled Smartphone to find a shorter or quicker way.

From the Pennsylvania Turnpike Westbound (Interstate 76):

• Exit the Turnpike at Exit 39 (Allison Park).

• Get off the turnpike and drive North on Route 8.

• Make a left onto Airport Road (about 13 miles of driving on Route 8 North).

• Drive on Airport Road about one (1) mile and the speed limit will drop from 40 MPH down to 15 MPH, and you'll drive between two red brick pillars.

• Drive past the Cobra Helicopter (on the left) and make the first left when you reach the T-intersection

• You'll see a blue sign that says Civil Air Patrol and has an arrow pointing to the left

• We meet inside the first door on the right (you'll see another blue sign above the door that reads "Civil Air Patrol." Enter through that door.

From the Pennsylvania Turnpike Eastbound (Interstate 76)

• Exit the Turnpike at Exit 28 (Cranberry Township).

• Follow signs for Interstate 79 North.

• Exit Interstate 79 at Exit 78 (Cranberry Township).

• Turn right onto Route 228 (East).

• Turn left onto Route 8 (about 10 miles of driving on Route 228 before you reach Route 8).

• Make a left onto Airport Road (about 7 miles of driving on Route 8 North).

• Drive on Airport Road about one (1) mile and the speed limit will drop from 40 MPH down to 15 MPH, and you'll drive between two red brick pillars.          

• Drive past the Cobra Helicopter (on the left) and make the first left when you reach the T-intersection (you'll see a blue sign that says Civil Air Patrol and has an arrow pointing to the left).

• We meet inside the first door on the right (you'll see another blue sign above the door that reads "Civil Air Patrol." Enter through that door.

From Interstate 79

• Exit I-79 North at Exit 78 for Cranberry Township, PA.

• Get off I-79 and turn on Route 228 East (drive east on Route 228).

• Drive East on Route 228 until you reach Route 8.

• Turn left (north) on Route 8.

• Make a left onto Airport Road (about 7 miles of driving on Route 8 North).

• Drive on Airport Road about one (1) mile and the speed limit will drop from 40 MPH down to 15 MPH, and you'll drive between two red brick pillars. 

• Drive past the Cobra Helicopter (on the left) and make the first left when you reach the T-intersection (you'll see a blue sign that says Civil Air Patrol and has an arrow pointing to the left).

From Route 422

• Exit Route 422 at Exit 39.6 and drive on Route 8 South.

• Make a right onto Airport Road.

• Drive on Airport Road about one (1) mile and the speed limit will drop from 40 MPH down to 15 MPH, and you'll drive between two red brick pillars.
